I wanted to thank you for inviting me to your class yesterday. I apologize for going on and on. I typically teach 6-hour workshops and it is difficult for me to condense information. I hope that you found some value in what I had to share.
I also would like to respond once again to Dr. Vasu's question concerning time. I said that if teachers are to make effective and extensive use of the Internet and technology in general, they are probably doing it at home. This is true of all media and preparations. There is a tragic lack of time for teachers while they are on the job.
But in addition to this, I would like to add that I don't see teachers spending any more time using the Internet as a source for teaching and learning materials than they spend scouring through magazines and other print resources. The Internet is more efficient and can help teachers be more efficient in creating engaging and powerful teaching materials.
Again, thank you for your attention!
